Her bouquet consisted of burgundy and white roses, white parrot tulips and freesias. She wore a simple ivory silk and satin gown with beaded band at the hem and bodice and a cathedral-length veil. The bride was given in marriage by her father, L. Devine III of Groton, and the Rev Constance F. Brian and Maria Burke of 60 Sugar Lane, Newtown. Tamara Burke of Glastonbury and Joseph Driscoll Devine IV of Storrs, were married February 1 at St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown with Monsignor George Birge and the Rev Constance Young, mother of the groom, officiating.Ī reception following the ceremony took place at the Candlewood Inn, Brookfield. ![]()
